When you know how to get folks thinking about something other than themselves and what they want when considering pregnancy (or engaging in acts that lead to it), holler. You hit on it in the thread title--future generations. That's just it. Reduce the size of future generations. Beyond that discuss to your heart's content which symptom of the problem we need to deal with and how.

It seems to me that the interests of future generations are not adequately being taken into account in the current environmental crisis. The pyramids and other mass societal undertakings had posterity at their core but today we have none of this. We live for the present , it is the only sensible rationale I can fathom for why we haven't done something about carbon emissions in particular.

I suppose the question I pose you guys is: To what extent should the interests of future generations by taking into account in deciding what to do about the environment?

The way I see it, if you're stupid enough to eat crap like that to the point where it adversely affects your health, then you deserve it. Take away fast food and they'll still find something else as bad that suits their taste buds.

Try educating people (assuming they're capable of learning) instead of feeding them mental junk food.

Not beginning, but has been going on for 30 or more years. This past year a really significant slowdown has occurred since the loss of the rain forest caused local climate change to drought.
