Here's a thing I keep running across; what should leaders(Of a village, city, country) be doing toward 'going green'? A dictator who forces green methodalogy upon people is still a dictator. What if 'green' can't live in a free market? Does green need someone in the right place in goverment? Can a leader be wise, insertive, benigh and green? |

What about government incentives for utilizing green methods? Extinction of behavior can occur readily when the undesired behavior is ignored. |

I've been trying to devise a system whereas business in my story are rewaded a certain number of 'points' for 'green' practices. The more points a business scores, the lower it's taxes. Money from such tax is then rerouted into a loan system.....so businesses starting out can draw on it to make their business' more green. Established business may request use of the money, as long as it's directed into things that improve it's 'green' score. It needs work to get all the bugs out, but that's the proto-version, anyway. |

One problem is that every business will want exceptions for just them. Farming and agriculture in general has unique angles to work with in a 'green-score' system. It's gotta be green. But it also has to be fair. |
