My understanding is that on this forum two sentences are the maximum that one is allowed to quote from any single source. Reading the Israeli Airstrikes/Hamas Rocket Attacks thread, I've noticed several copyrighted quotes which are up to a few paragraphs - seven sentences long. I've sent a copy of this post to Josh Knauer already, but I am posting this here also because I think that forum rules should apply to all members equally and I like the openness.

1.

First two violations of copyright policy are by Donnie Mac Lead on this post bellow. They are both on the first post of page seven on the Israeli Airstrikes/Hamas Rocket Attacks thread here. In both of these copyrighted quotations, Donnie Mac Lead is quoting more than two sentences.

First of these two violations is exactly two paragraphs long quotation of 5 sentences and the second is three paragraphs consisting of 7 sentences from clearly copyrighted CBS News, 60 Minutes.

As I recall, this is not the first time Donnie has violated this rule. Not very long ago another user has reported this same violation on several of Donnie Mac Lead's posts. You can see the thread where this was reported here.

Did he steal from his own people?

Palestinians certainly paid dearly for something else Fayyad uncovered: a system of monopolies in commodities -- like flour and cement -- that Arafat handed out to his cronies, who then turned around and fleeced the public.

The same article points out Arafat the propaganda chief & Palestinian leader died with billions in bank accounts scattered around the world and investments in companies like coca cola.

Again, in these two posts bellow Donnie Mac Lead is quoting more than two sentences from a) Wikipedia and then from b) WorldNetDaily. These violation are on the tenth and the fiftheenth post down on this page.

This alone should demonstrate conclusively to any non-biased observer that the troubles in the Middle East today will not be solved by the creation of a "Palestinian state." It's time to point out to those who do not yet know that the leader of this movement -- Arafat -- is not a "Palestinian" at all. Indeed, he was born in Egypt.

You've only missed 3 posts. Not bad. I've flagged these three missed offending posts with some (not very clear) explanations, but I am posting them here anyway. I've made the quotations which contain more than two sentences in red. Last post actually has at least 4 quotations, which I believe is against forum rules also.

1. You have missed this post which is fifth from the top of the page 5 (violation quote contains 3 long sentences).

not nice,not nice at all. but do you ever stop to consider where this anger comes from? its not genetic or inherent in their culture. Its because of what's been happening to Palestinians in Palestine for the last 60 odd years...by every international standard, Israel is committing war crimes right now and has for 60 years. Yes Hamas also commit war crimes, but that does not excuse the government and military of israel for what they have been doing. read up on it...I have posted here a few more interesting links for you...

just as you can find Arabs spewing hatred for Jews (when this should be focused on Israel , not on Jews in general), you will find Jews spewing the same sentiments about palestinians. that is a two way street....If you look around the internet you will find jewish critics of Israel's behaviour, you will find christian churches, law societies, labour unions, etc....and the UN, criticising it...

try this one for example, and its not limited to Arabs in this case...this is a 'settler' (where is he settling???).

UN watchdog condemns war on Gaza

A resolution condemning Israel's military offensive in Gaza has been adopted by the UN Human Rights Council.
The non-binding resolution, approved in Geneva on Monday, said Israel's operation had "resulted in massive violations of human rights of the Palestinian people".

this is not an 'eye for an eye' or justifiable self defence...its like beating someone to death for trying to take your seat on the bus...its hugely disproportionate, and its war crimes...
