Some of the filters created by war profiteers and environmental
abusers are in use at public libraries in the US.

One of them, called Smart Filter , made by Ecommnet of the UK,
blocks out this forum.

It seems that straight censorship would be the reason.

Thank you to Josh and all for the dialogue

EnviroLink has been blocked by a lot of filtering software... we received a lot of coverage about this a while back. You can search on Google for: filtering envirolink censors

to see a smattering of the known censors out there. It really is a shame, but I have to say that as long as everyone is open about what is being censored and why, I have no problem with individuals choosing to do this. I do have a problem when publicly funded institutions start using such software with no clear policies in place for preserving First Ammendment rights.
