Josh.. I was not speaking about the 2 day old fish topic

I am speaking about the topic which had over 1000 views
and was several weeks old I believe

it was called FISH STORIES

I don't recall this exact one. I tend to only delete entire threads when they are so polluted with personal attacks and/or other violations of our rules here that I can't clean them up in any other way. If users here don't police themselves (ie: control themselves) then I'll have to keep on doing broad-based deleting. I don't have the time nor energy to sit here and edit or prune individual postings in a large thread that is heavily polluted.

I made no personal attack on that thread

and I would like to have it reinstated

If others made personal attacks
then you could have deleted them without
deleting what I put a lot of time into

I thought you had delegated this to Sandra and Wayne
who were committed to deleting threads only if
both agreed and there were rule violations

No can do... once something is deleted, it is gone forever. I am not going to go through deep threads and edit individual postings. What I will try to do in the future is split the thread where it starts to go downhill and delete the split off part (not the original content... assuming it is ok).

I do apologize if I deleted content that is good, although I don't feel that bad because all of us should take responsibility for keeping threads on track. If a thread is being hijacked, report it in the Feedback section with a link to the thread so we (the moderators and I) can help rather than just wield the big Delete button.
