For some reason, I can't stay logged on. It's very random....and irritating. I'll click on something to reply or whatever, and what do you know, I'm not logged in anymore. This happens a couple times a day. I don't know if it's on my end our yours. Just thought you fine folks should know about it.

Archer... sorry this is happening. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I'll nose around the phpBB support forums and see if there's a fix for this problem.

For some reason, when I clear junk files such as temp files and internet archives, I am no longer automatically logged in. I know it is not the cookies because I keep my cookies and am automatically logged in to other forums after a junk files and internet archives purge. It might be the following things (but it is just a guess to see if your can figure out how to fix it) - the cookie might be looking for the archived page instead of the bookmarked or linked address used to come back to the forum site. The cookie might have some specification to be saved in the temp files or archive area instead of stored in the cookies area. Maybe the forum does not use cookies to identify users (cookies are a good way to do things for people who don't mind accepting them as long as passwords are not stored in the cookie itself). One forum had a log in problem that was solved by refreshing the page (then the coolie did what it should and the user was logged in automatically - does not work here though) suggesting that there is a difference in how the cookie works depending on what version of the page (archived or new) is on the browser when the cookie is used or looked at or passed...
