Is it possible to create a new general discussion topic that pertains only to wildlife rehab?
I know you have the animal welfare section but if there were a special topic dedicated to only wildlife rehab people could ask questions and receive feedback faster. Sometimes people find wild animals that are hurt or young and do not know what to do or who to contact. As you know a very young animal that does not get food/attention immediately can die.

I am what we call a go between. I take in wildlife and take care of their necessities until I can get them to an official rehabilitator. Sometimes the official rehabilitators (approved by state wildlife & fisheries) are full and can not take more animals. In this situation I continue to care for the animals until they are old enough and ready to be released into the wild.
I deal mainly with raccoons and squirrels but take in other animals should they need me.
Anyway it is just a suggestion. I must go now and pick up 3 baby squirrels that need my help.

Thanks for the suggestion (and the good work you do!). I'm not sure there is enough demand here to create a completely new forum folder for wildlife rehab, but I'd suggest that you start a new topic in the Animal Concerns area and keep it populated with new posts to keep it at the top. If you can show me more than 10 people posting there on a regular (weekly is ok) basis, then I'll turn it into its own top-level discussion area.

Or, if enough people reply to this post saying they do want a separate area fo wildlife rehab, then I'll create it.
