Last time I was in Raleigh was May of 2006, to make the last salute to my old hooch mate. You couldn't pay me to go back, or to Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas. Georgia, Texas, et al. I'm skipping the reunions, not just because of global warming, but the unGodly overpopulation, too. It has hit 7*F above the past 74 years of memory of the old timers up here, two years years, 2005, and this year. +5*F 1998, 2002, 2007, and 2009. Climate change beyond historic was forecast in 1992. I could either move north or up. The Earthship walls mitigate the hot and the cold. Your earlier post on other climate phenomena beyond historic, Wayne, is further proof that AGW is happening faster than the worst case scenarios. Everyone not on nuclear or hydro power should either go on solar or safe nuclear power ASAP, along with the outlawing of big engines and severe limits to jet travel and shipping. This is no joke or drill, it is Red Alert for Earthlings. Cut population and pollution in half----yesterday!!! I was putting up Red Alert Posters in 1993!! |
