I see, I guess I has not seen these posts before so thank you for putting them here! I think what is helping right now, sadly, is that we are experiencing another heatwave in central Europe. Not as bad as 2003, which was disastrous for the environment with effects that can still be felt today, but still quite bad with no rain for a month in regions where it normally rains regularly at this time of the year. I can see it in people around me, even my family, that doubt is beginning to surface and they are starting to understand our climate is really changing - not for future generations, even in their lifespan. I am not giving up hope just yet that people will open their eyes when things start going downhill (they already are of course, but even more), and hopefully there will still be things that can be saved at that time.
The cases of data manipulation like in East Anglia have really not helped matter I guess… but I also understand their side, as you said they had to make an argument and knew people only react to exaggerated facts. It is sad that that’s what is takes nowadays.

When the data doesn't support an argument, people invoke data manipulation.

When people invoke data manipulation, they probably have a very weak, tenuous argument.

How can sweltering heat manipulate anything at all? Who can argue when one is sweltering?

In Iraq, air temperatures continued to exceed 120 degrees (49 Celcius) for the eighth day in a row on Sunday, according to the Weather Channel. The heat had become so scorching on Thursday that the Iraqi government mandated a four-day holiday.

The highest-known heat index — 178 degrees (81 Celcius) — was recorded in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, on July 8, 2003.

Would you like me to cite?

Snowy was commenting on the previous post by Milton Banana where he invoked the data manipulation "rebuttal" for the thread.

With all the cheating and data manipulation going on I'd say 100 percent of climate change is man made.
