Well today I sit down to relax and read the paper. WHAT, Bio-Sludge coming to my township. The article was pretty straight forward, it's ok to spread on land, it has no hazardous chemicals in it, it can't hurt the ground water and there isn't much anybody can do about it if the farmer wants it. Oh, and if you want to fight it go talk to the EPA. Aren't they the people that should be protecting us in the first place? Not to mention, where I live and the fields are it's a short runoff to the Delaware River and a Scenic Byway. We had this same thing back in the 70's and early 80's. The same farmer used sludge and most of the well in the area got coliform in them. I truly want to do something to fight back, but, I do need some direction.
