I wanted to start a group for that topic but started a community page instead so I also started a group too. I feel that thermal energy storage is 70% of the solution to human energy use but it is mostly ignored, misunderstood, and trivialized (the 30% is transportation, electronics/lighting and chemicals for product creation). Note that I include insulation and air-tight design with thermal energy storage. The rather useless "community page": The group where you can chat and have forum discussions: |

This is a graph of a typical thermal energy storage situation. The red line is thermal energy made available (such as from solar) and the blue line is thermal energy needed (such as home heating needs aka the difference between indoor and outdoor temperatures). The green area is the volume of thermal energy stored and the yellow area is thermal energy delivered from the storage. |
