There is a general lack of interest in environmental activism among Christians. I would like to help change that by joining a group of Christian environmentalists... or starting such a group if one cannot be found to fit my social needs (hey, it is much easier and funner to do things with others then try to do things alone). Anybody know of any Christian groups concerned with protecting wildlife habitat or reducing personal impacts on the planet (including resources, weather change, pollution, social damage like wars, impacts of highways and agriculture)?

For this one, I had already glanced at it and felt left out as a Lutheran... not Baptist, Catholic, Orthodox, or Mormon (LDS) and Lutherans are divided between evangelical and fundamentalist... and no organizations were mentioned, only names (and generally ones who are considered cultists by many Christians)...
Anglicans and Lutherans are quite similar theologically so that list is very useful and exciting...

I am seriously considering starting an educational organization for teaching sustainable-lifestyle-compatible buildings and disaster-proof buildings from local materials (2 different goals but with very similar and compatible resulting design strategies). This list of educational organizations is awesome... but still only partially connected to the separate goal of getting Christians (and specifically the main-line church denominations) with a green mission in their minds.

All I've done is search for key words online, e.g., "Lutheran" and "environmentalists" and "Canada" brings up a few links, like

You might find more organizations, and inquire to see if there are programs in place, if they are interested in setting up such programs, working with other groups, etc.
