Carbon trading has always been a scam. Now a clean carbon tax, that is productive.

One of the ways you can readily identify denialist scam artists is their emphasis on predictions. Lots of individuals make lots of different predictions about temperature in the future and related matters like ice melt. Serious climate scientists usually offer a range and even there sometimes miss the boat. They generally do better than economists but big deal. Cherry picking the least accurate predictions and then converting them often into nonrange one date, one number future targets is simply dishonest but that is denialism for you. Since they can't sustain any view of their own they simply find 100 different scams for pissing on real science.

Basically the long term upward direction of temperature driven by increased ghgs, principally CO2, is what AGW tells us and the record on that has been totally accurate.

Abstract
For the past three years (2012-2014), California has experienced the most severe drought conditions in its last century. But how unusual is this event? Here we use two paleoclimate reconstructions of drought and precipitation for Central and Southern California to place this current event in the context of the last millennium. We demonstrate that while 3-year periods of persistent below-average soil moisture are not uncommon, the current event is the most severe drought in the last 1200 years, with single year (2014) and accumulated moisture deficits worse than any previous continuous span of dry years. Tree-ring chronologies extended through the 2014 growing season reveal that precipitation during the drought has been anomalously low but not outside the range of natural variability. The current California drought is exceptionally severe in the context of at least the last millennium and is driven by reduced though not unprecedented precipitation and record high temperatures.

It doesn't surprise me to see a denialist exploiting this Greenpeace defilement in Peru. If Galileo had done a squat and drop in the Sistine Chapel no doubt that would be seen as proving that the sun went around the earth and the heliocentric view was a hoax.

One should ask, just exactly what is the point of a post?
