Thanks, Wayne.
I have Dr. Mann as a climate dynamics professor this semester, actually. We are discussing about climate model projections of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) as a response to Greenland melt, and we are comparing them to observations. The AMOC is important for the transfer of heat poleward, which is thus important for weather patterns. The observed colder than normal signature is actually about 100-150 years ahead of schedule compared to modeled projections. So we are well ahead of where climate models depicted we would be at this time, with regard to the AMOC.
Hi Snowy. You've got Dr. Mann? That is pretty awesome. He's pretty famous, and gets beaten up a lot in my climate change debates that I still sometimes do. I still have a habit of performing an occasional public service and letting uneducated rednecks on backwater forums know how uneducated and backwater they are. For some reason I've never converted anyone to the "church of AGW."
Remember our conversations on the old Environment Site? Apparently it's up again - sort of:
http://www.altenergyshift.comSome of the old members are listed, such as Cricket Tragic and besoeker, but not me, and no associated posts, either. I should have bought the forum from Fabian. That way I could have banned Wayne. Haha, just kidding.
Maybe you'll be a famous climate scientist some day and I'll be defending your work against uneducated rednecks on backwater forums, unless your work is terrible, in which I'll just say I don't know who you are. Oh, wait, I actually don't know who you are! LOL.
Cool. There were some interesting discussions there. I don't think Fabian would have sold, as I tried both before and during his stint. There were some weird ties that were difficult enough that the US was essentially excluded if I remember correctly after this many years. I will have to check it out. Thanks.
Good luck with the crowd that thinks the ACA is different from Obamacare or that voting for Trump will not really allow him to do all of the things he wants to do.
Yeah... the US is basically screwed for the next four years. or longer, if this sets a new voting precedence. The country almost didn't survive this election.

4 years of this thread running and you're still here? Good lord. Don't you have anything better to do?
You seem to keep coming back.

I wouldn't called 99 posts "coming back."
