I did say books were not as easily damaged, not they were impervious to damage. Anything that will destroy a book will also harm an e-reader, but everything that will destroy an e-reader will not destroy a book. Since I have seen many forms of stroage media come and go, the only constant has been printed media. Tape drives, huge floppy discs, smaller floppy discs, etc. have come and gone. The electronic documents I wrote decades ago in Word will still open, however, there are small changes especially in the special fonts etc. which may eventually render them useless documents. |
