Post subject:  Ideas to Help

Hey guys I just found the forum and am so glad I did. The debates and insights are way beyond what I have found anywhere else. Im an engineer and entrepreneur who wants to help fight the way things have been going lately. I don't want to let our planet slowly be pillaged into oblivion and love what everybody on the forum is doing.

I want to do my part and put my skills to work for good. Anyone have any ideas for products that could push the green initiative and help the environment they would like to have but could never find?

I do know what to do, only that helping is what I want and hope somebody has a cool idea I can help bring into the world.

Well, Matt, I see you are also at altenergyshift.com. A few 'ten best' articles that are about growth in really, a negative way. We can't "grow" ourselves out of this mess, and you can't sell your way out of thermageddon or the population crash.
Think about it. If you have read up on it, you know that it is tough thing, now, to drop emissions of HGHGs, the 90% in less than 9 years before DEFINITE crossing of the methane turnover tipping point.
THEN, the only way to save the biosphere is with a Toba-like, induced super volcanic eruption with at least a 7 year global winter. We have the nukes already, and the drilling equipment to get to the bottom magma chamber depth of Yellowstone. It is already swelling for a normal eruption in 2K years---too late.
Even an induced economic depression from another large due natural disaster could trigger a crash of population within 9 years , and then the temps would peak out in 50 years or less and gradually cool down to late interglacial norms in 400 years. LaPalma, Cascadia, and Katla are all due and could induce an economic depression which causes mass starvation.
So, the main thing you could sell, would be suicide pills.

I have a cool idea to share with you, but it's not related to a 'product'. Some of my colleagues from university started this website- http://greentumble.com to promote environmental sustainability. They want to run the website without serving any ads and I found their initiative very solid and in the same time dream-ish a little bit, if you want...get in touch with them and feel free to support their efforts. =;
