Hi everyone,
I wanted to share an important new project with you to stop massive illegal logging operations in the Amazon rainforest.
Rainforest Connection turns recycled smartphones into solar-powered listening devices that can detect and pinpoint signs of environmental destruction in real-time. By having this alert system in place, local rangers can immediately respond to and prevent illegal logging in the Amazon.
We are trying to reach our stretch funding goal of $195,000 on Kickstarter by next Tuesday, July 29th, which will enable us to partner with the Tembé indigenous people, who we are in contact with. Here is the campaign's page , and here's our website.
