According to the State of the Climate Report for 2014, an international report comprising of 413 scientists from 58 countries, 2014 not only saw the highest global surface temperatures, but also saw the highest sea surface temperatures, the highest sea levels, and the highest upper ocean heat content ever on record.

Global Warming continues, and the Earth continues to be in a massive positive energy imbalance as a result of Anthropogenic Forcing.

So far, 2015 is even 'warmer'. The North Polar Ice is at its lowest extent and depth ever recorded. It looks to me like the ice free year and completion of the Arctic methane positive feedback loop could be earlier than the mid to late 2020s. Maybe in only 4 years, we will certainly see.
Trying to predict regional weather will become very difficult. By the 2040s it could well be an increase of 1*F per year. Then 1*C per year. Most surface life would go extinct at +10*F, probably around 2100 or before. IMEO

2015 is hottest, and next year may be hotter still. I don't think it is the real exponential warming starting-----yet.

Yes, 2015 was further even hotter, by far. This bold prediction was made quite early in the year, and with global warming, this is just the beginning ...

It looks like this will be the third record year in a row. To me that shows the very beginnings of exponential heat gain. A full 1/4 degree hotter than 2014, now 2015 will be less than this year by even more. I wonder if this will be the year that it really takes off with ESAS methane. It may hit 1 degree F per year heat gain before 2020. :-({|=
