Just read an article the other day that in the USA lone almost a billion plastic toothbrushes end up in the landfill. So now I never want to buy a plastic toothbrush again. Any ideas on alternatives? Thanks!

Bamboo toothbrushes :). Wonderful product and bamboo also re-grows very fast, so it is definitely sustainable.

There are many kind of tree twigs that you can use to make a natural toothbrush. For example
Apple
Pear
Bamboo
Fig tree
Hazelnut
Oak
Willow
Orange
Lime
Silver birch
Olive
Walnut
Bay leaf
Liquorice root
