Animals are "pests" ..... in your world? Really?

Some are, some aren't. Depends on how humans are inconvenienced, I suppose. As for pesticide testing, I'd personally like to know whether or not a product will function as intended with minimal risk to non-target species before mass producing it. I'm sure some prefer putting something out that doesn't work as well as before with a higher risk to non-pests. Some folks are just stupid that way.

In some cases deer and other large animals eating the corn crops are pests. Bullets & traps don't need to be tested as we know they work in protecting our corn flakes. However rust, fungi, bugs and other contagion in our crops must be controlled. Cobie's observations are dead on & it would be really dangerous for us to abdicate our role in protecting our crops by throwing away the Science that has allowed us to make educated decisions in ma That requires Science & testing..
