Feather Haven Feeds in Morgan Hill, CA , sells live animals including goats, poultry, game birds, doves, pigeons, parrots, rabbits and rodents. These animals are generally purchased from mills where they have been raised in cruel and unhealthy conditions.

This petition is important to me to ensure accountability for the actions of the pet stores that sell live animals raised in mills/ inhumane conditions. The pet stores need to enforce and ensure basic conditions for the animals they buy and then sell.

Below is the link to their web site:

Today I visited one of the breeders, Feather Haven buys their goats from. The conditions the goats were living in at this place were horrible and disturbing. There were hundreds of goats cramped into a small area. The whole place was stinking and the goats seemed to be living on their own feces. There were dead goats lying in the midst of the others. The baby lambs seemed to have bad diarrhoea and did not seem to be getting any help. The babies are separated from their mom in a couple of days and are sold off when they are less than a week old.

I feel the same way when I see pictures of New York City, or Chicago, or London, or India or China, or Africa. Overpopulation of humans leads to mills for raising animals for food, and the horrors won't stop until the human population crashes, 2045-60, then thermageddon takes its course with the completion of the 6th great extinction of over 85% of animal species, 2500-3500AD, probably including humans, caused by humans. Recovery of most of the biosphere in 200,000 years, and a return of the former biodiversity in 3 million years.
It may mitigate the suffering if everyone >immediately< quit 80%, to preferably 90%, of HGHG pollution and went to one or none with having kids, preferably a 30 year moratorium on having any. Good luck with that, eh? Nipping at the buds of the evil tree doesn't do much, gotta get the roots. :shock: 8) :x :razz: =;
