It's a pity animals need to be experimented on to prove they are alot more forward than mans backward thinking believes them to be.

Indeed, emotionally animals are very similar to ourselves. They feel happiness, sorrow, loneliness, pain etc. just the same as we do.
One need only to open one's eyes - and one's heart - to see it.

Moreover, the purity of an animals love is something all human beings should aspire to...

I believe few of us have aspired to the "purity" of animal love for their own kind much less other species, thankfully.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannibalism_(zoology)

In zoology, cannibalism is the act of one individual of a species consuming all or part of another individual of the same species as food. Cannibalism is a common ecological interaction in the animal kingdom and has been recorded for more than 1500 species [1] It does not, as once believed, occur only as a result of extreme food shortages or artificial conditions, but commonly occurs under natural conditions in a variety of species.[1][2][3] Cannibalism seems to be especially prevalent in aquatic communities, in which up to approximately 90% of the organisms engage in cannibalism at some point of the life cycle. Cannibalism is also not restricted to carnivorous species, but is commonly found in herbivores and detritivores.[2]

Not sure I get your point, Wayne. (?)

When an animal loves you, it loves you unconditionally - no matter what.
Forgives without question. Loyal to the end. The love 'that would hurl itself against hopeless odds' in defence of its master.

The point is there is no unconditional love by animals. They will eat their own young/siblings/species.

Some, yes, but not a general statement of truth by any means.

http://dogbitelaw.com/dog-bite-statisti ... rimer.html

The number of victims

The most recent USA survey of dog bites, conducted by CDC researchers and based on data collected during 2001-2003, concluded that dogs bite 4.5 million Americans per year (1.5% of the entire population). Sacks JJ, Kresnow M. Dog bites: still a problem? Injury Prevention 2008 Oct;14(5):296-301.

Almost 800,000 bites per year -- one out of every 6 -- are serious enough to require medical attention. (Weiss HB, Friedman D, Coben JH. Incidence of dog bite injuries treated in emergency departments. JAMA 1998;279:51-53.)

Dog bites send nearly 368,000 victims to hospital emergency departments per year (1,008 per day). Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Nonfatal Dog Bite–Related Injuries Treated in Hospital Emergency Departments — United States, 2001, MMWR 2003;52:605-610. Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report is published by the CDC.

Dogs bite family and friends

The vast majority of biting dogs (77%) belong to the victim's family or a friend.

If you believe animals love you without conditions, you've never kept a cat!

You mean a cat has never allowed them to share a cat's domicile and wait upon said cat as is required by feline law, right?

Decent and honorable are wangy terms if one is not acclimatized t the actual ... How could a rat possbly be honorable or decent. If you are a human considering the actuality of a rat for instance. Just animals ...wee ones. Just being themselves ... right. Is there a problem in the firstplace ... one wonders ...

We are animals ... We are a type of animal. Tone it down. Be real. Be honest. Our love is honest enough.
