I rather like local stories: Most of the stories I hear day to day are local, personal and here and now. That's how most of us live, methinx. Matter of taste, perhaps.... |

Margaret Mead is most famous for her book "Coming of age in Samoa" - she did anthropological studies and stayed on the island and lived with its people for a long time, before such things became more comon. However, her conclusions have been questioned. No doubt the website will tell you more. However, I beg to differ with the quote. Not that we should not make an effort locally and with small groups but see how far it gets you to start a new political party, for instance. If you want to make a difference these days, aim to make a statement in the social media that gets picked up and goes viral. You may make a difference until the next "cause" comes along. Anyone remember why the whole environment one day last year got plastered with stickers with a message I have forgotten? |
