World Animal Day was on the 4th October 2014 - FollowTheSpoor was there and we spoke to a few participants who said that Animals Matter to Africa! We raised the issue of there being this general perception, right or wrong, that only white people in Africa care about animals. Education in compassion is what is necessary, or just not teaching that it is ok to be cruel to other living beings! You would think that it is human nature to feel compassion, but sadly no. Or is it that the world has become so full of the need for survival, gaining money, greed, that the compassion part is over ridden. |
