World Animal Day was on the 4th October 2014 - FollowTheSpoor was there and we spoke to a few participants who said that Animals Matter to Africa!
We raised the issue of there being this general perception, right or wrong, that only white people in Africa care about animals.
Watch the video below and tell us what you think.

http://www.youtube.com/followthespoorThanks. I appreciated your you tube link even more than the first link because there are literally millions of people marching against one thing or the other the world over. Seems most of us would just like to get along with each other and diminish suffering if we can and where we can. A common goal. How do we move the immoveable feast?
Education ..... the real stuff .... dispels ignorance, fear, tradition/religion, and separation. Education could do that, but the system of education we have now only feeds the system we already have. We literally feed the machine with every new birth. The adults insist that these young ones "pledge allegiance to the flag", for instance.
We need to take a leap, and we might do this with our young ones. It is a very real possibility that we break away from the institutionalization of our children and of ourselves. We are caught in a dysfunctional system, and we pass it along to our children, for how else are they to survive within a dysfunctional system unless we educate them to be as dysfunctional? Somewhere the chain needs to be broken and the leap needs to be taken. Many are already doing it. Not sure how much time we have though ..... Thank you for your contribution. It is in the spirit.
