Hello all. I thought I would try this forum as a way to meet some like-minded individuals. I have been vegetarian for 25 years and try to live a reasonably green lifestyle. I have become increasingly upset over issues of overpopulation, environmental degradation, and animal welfare. I live in Alberta, Canada - the home of dirty oil, beef, and conservative politics - so I look forward to some hopefully thought-provoking discussion on this site.

Wow, I thought funky oil, meat, and conservatism was pretty much kept in the south. It's in Canada?! God help us.

In the meantime, pull up a chair, grab a mug (preferably a clean one), and post away!
