I'm a refugee from the environment site, perhaps the first of many. I would describe myself as and interested in science of global warming and green issues. I'm not an academic by any stretch of the imagination but I read the national geographic if it's lying around rather then nuts magazine and watch horizon. In the circles I move in real life this makes me classed as an eccentric.

Anyhow It's good to find somewhere after the old site disappears look forward to talking to you all.

Welcome. I believe you will find there are some downright odd <cough> Iowanic <cough> folks here so you may fall into the more normal range in comparison.
