Hello, everyone. My name is Gina, I'm from Los Altos, California. I have a passionate interest in the environment and animal rights, and wish to do my part to make the world a little better. I'm sure that sounds cheesy, and it probably is, but... Oh well. :lol: I hope to become better aquainted with issues and potential solutions to the many issues that affect our world.

One post wonder(so many of them!) from 6 months after Wayne Stollings joined. However, the pages end before that for some reason. Then I joined 21 months after Wayne. Many don't bother to introduce and tell about themselves and go right to trolling....

The "old" forum crashed in mid-2003, I believe, and it took some time for it to be brought back. The problem was everything was lost and we had to start over from that point. The forum actually went back into the 1990s when there were a separate environmental and animal rights boards. The combination of the two caused a lot of the environmental posters to move on at that time. There have always been a large number of lurkers in ratio with posters from what I have seen and heard. Many of the current ones are spammers trying to promote goods and services. Some get through for a while before they are found out. Some may be put off by the post approval system now. Some may just not maintain an interest.

Yeah, the grouping of disparate subjects, and less room on the environmental part are a bummer. Allowing in denialists was the worst thing, as if there hasn't been a consensus on global warming since 1992.
Allowing nut case animal "rights" and other un-introduced people who take up the open forum is also crumby.
The majority of space should be to the environment because the name is Envirolink, not animal rights link, or nut case link. [-X :-& :razz:
