This is to introduce myself & Corfu Symposio
Based in Corfu, Greece, Corfu Symposio is a non-profit company which has just been set up to organise events, conferences, seminars, exhibitions etc to promote the 3 core themes of Sustainable Development, Cultural Diversity and Conditions for Peace. These events will be local, national, regional and international.
Some of the things we are planning are -
- Int. Conference on Sustainable Tourism & Cultural Heritage
- 2-day workshops on Sustainable Tourism
- Cultural Festival with international dance & music groups for Int. Day of Cultural Diversity
- Connecting Corfu Cultures - events to bring together the various cultures living on the island
- World Environment Day - events
- International Youth Day - bringing youth together locally, nationally & internationally in a series of events revolving around the 3 core themes
- Our office is now building up a library of books & DVDs related to the 3 themes for people to borrow.
Can you help? We especially need input and ideas about suitable publications & DVDs for our library and ideas for the the International Youth Day events in August.
At the moment we are in the process of setting up our website, but already have a fundraising website up and running -
http://www.corfu-earthsupport.com - where people & companies can purchase blocks and increase traffic to their website whilst also showing that they support these themes. Money generated from the website will be used to fund the work of Corfu Symposio and will also be made available to other groups supporting one or more of the themes, who would otherwise have difficulty in obtaining funds.

2 FREE BLOCKS to any non-profit organisations - so if you are a non-profit, then please go to the website -
