I have been on the working side of analyzer technologies in process and environmental monitoring for most of my working life. I believe Technology is only one of many ways to measure how a we impact our environment and our lives.

The best measure is how we feel and how many times we find ourselves under the weather. The environmental background, (the unmeasurable toxic polution we live in) is rising in concentration and with 8 Billion soles polluting on the earth, it is imperitrive we make good choices on every aspect of life.
