I'm new and looking for a way to combine a new career with my love of animals. I have been an unofficial wildlife rehabilitator all my life and that lead me to seeking grants for sanctuary land.
A lot of irons in the fire at the moment until I get focused in one direction! :)
I'm 52, divorced 22 years, no kiddos.

Yeah, and I'm from Texas too. :D

Wildlife rehabilitation can be fun. What animals have you rehabilitated?

Thank you for the warning Wayne!

Archer, I like to hunt squirrel sometimes too.
I have rehabilitated a lizard when I was young. I hit it with a rock and paralyzed it so I kept it in a terrarium and watered it till it got over it.
More recently I helped a goose that had been shot and the bullet had gone clean through. Kept following him around with food and water when he just wanted to hide and die. Gave him physical therapy with towels to help him walk again.
Then there was the baby hummer that needed rescuing from an orb spider...shudder!

Thank you Origam.
