My name is Paul, I'm from MA, USA. I have just recently discovered this wonderful page.
I'm 20 years old, and I work part time (sometimes full) in a real estate appraisal office (which, by the way, is a great place to meet other environuts. Just in my office alone we have 3 or 4 very well read, interesting individuals. One of these is the president of a 156 person non-profit land-trust organization which owns 266 acres of MA forests, which includes the Opacum Woods, home to the rare Opacum salamander, some quite beautiful vernal pools, and lots more).
Anyway, ever since I was a child I've been interested in the environment. In school I always chose projects on oceans and rivers, tropical rainforests, deserts, etc. I have also been a deep ecologist the majority of my life (though I had not even heard that term until the last few weeks).
Well, that's about enough from me I think. Trying not to write my life story here. I am hoping to meet some interesting people on these forums, have some good debates maybe...
