Howdy --

I'm a refugee from a rightwing board. I was the token leftie -- a moderator, actually. The folks who ran the board were good people, but it was a bit of a drag being the only environmentalist on the board. I also took no pleasure in being called a Marxist or socialist whenever the spirit moved them.

This looks like an interesting place.

Welcome Buzz! There's a pretty good mix of folks here and anyone who wants to participate constructively is welcome. I'm the owner of the board and certainly lean left, but there are a pretty full spectrum of opinions expressed here.

BTW... I am always looking for help in managing/encouraging the discussions here, so if you have suggestions, feel free to make them! I really like to get feedback and there isn't a lot most of the time.
