I never did one of these but why not.

I am from New England and I am an avid fisherman. My main concern with animals and the environment is the overcommercialisation of the fishing industry, especially striped bass and baitfish. The sportfishing industry makes far more money than the commercial fishing industry, and for that reason I believe that it would be a better to impose stricter limits on the commercial fishing and shift the commercial side of the business towards farm raising fish when possible (it may be impossible for marlin, some types of tuna, etc.).

I am also a music enthusiast (though a very opintionated one  ), so feel free to talk about music with me here.

I prefer country (real country, not the newer, gayer country) and some rock.

What do you listen to?

I wasn't an avid listener of country until about 2 years ago. It's now my co-favorite along with 80's pop.

Oh yeah, I voted commando.

I kind of like the old country, but I am mostly 60's-80's rock.

I'm a sucker for a good guitarist, but I can also dig real loud music a la AC/DC.

Yeah, a good guitar is hard to beat. I also love a good fiddle or piano.

I started at 15, was in a band, then quit for 9 years because my parents wouldn't let me have an electric guitar, and neither would the place where I was taking lessons. That was 1964-5. Now I've gone crazy and have 22 with 600 watts of amps, all powered by solar panels through charge controls to battery banks to pure sinewave inverters to tube and tube emulation amps and 4x12 speaker stacks. Hendrix, Zeppelin, AC/DC, Nugent, Cream, and more acid blues/rock/metal. I live in the country, but my version of "Ghost Riders" is pure acid. High gain blues more than anything. Yowza!!!!   :D

If two of the mans favorite artists are Ted Nugent and Cream, then he can be as wierd as he wants.

I wish I could learn to play some guitar, but it will have to wait for a while because I am bogged down with work.

Also, I do appreciate a good piano player since I took lessons all thru elementary and middle school.

Bluedevil go to http://www.zzounds.com or musiciansfriend.com or http://www.samedaymusic.com for a Behringer V-tone Pack for $110 w/free shpg. Includes strat type guitar w/ cord, strap, and bag, a very nice 15 watt amp, and instructions. Make the time--an hour a day. Give yourself time, and after a while you'll really have a blast.
I'm a Voodoo Child, and I have been experienced---a lot!!!!
