I must agree with Ann. There have been, throughout history, some very, very clever people who have also been very, very nasty. I see empathy, compassion, kindness, as an aspect of intelligence - not at all separate from it. And i think it comes from the realization that we are connected.

We are so cruel to each other and so cruel to animals - and I believe we would not be if we had some clear insight into this fact - this fact of interconnectivity.

As long as this interconnectivity leads to better bar-b-q, I'm all for it.

How much hunting or fishing have you actually done, Animal-friendly?

If you'd ever been out in the woods with a master hunter(My father, as a example) you'd seen skill, intelligence, insight and vastly more respect for wildlife then anything churned out by PETA, ALF or Sea Shepard. If you have no knowledge of these things or refuse to see them, then There's more then one disconnect involved here, perhaps.

You also missed the most glaring aspect of that animal-utalization law.

It was thought up by politicians.

A animal sucessfully hunted: a member of the ecosystem used by predator and omnivorve to enhance their own health, the health of the ecosystem as a whole and participant in a system that provides ways and means to the protection of it's species.
