I'm usually not prone to suffering from cramps .... muscle or otherwise. However, this morning, my left leg is cramped from the hip just about all the way down to the ankle. The muscles behind and surrounding my left knee are especially touchy, and it hurts like the dickens to so much as walk.

Any ideas as to what may be causing this, and besides a heating pad, what else might I do to relieve this? Nope, no trips to the emergency room or medical building.

Already consume large volumes of water due to the heat and humidity in the region (I suffered a heat stroke last year). Diet shouldn't be a problem in that I eat well-rounded amounts of just about everything.

There isn't any reason why I couldn't go to a doctor, it's just that I think this may be something I can resolve on my own. I have this "thing" for people who go running to the ER or doctor with every little ache and pain. To me, it's a waste of valuable resources.

Everything except the area behind and around the knee has been relieved. I'll work it for a couple of days and if it doesn't clear by the weekend, then I'll talk with a sawbones.

Have you had a vehicle serviced recently ?
Maybe a foot-pedal may need re-aligning.

Sounds like a pinched nerve. Are you game for chiropractors? Acupuncturists? Gravity boots?
