Very cool! Is that loco coal or oil fired? I can't see the top of the tender in the pic. Roadside, if you've never done it, sometime you need to come up here to CO and ride the Durango & Silverton. It is an awesome train experience you'll never forget.

The locomotive is supposed to be coal-fired, but wood is substituted. You know, that ecological thing.

Although I've known of the Durango & Silverton for quite some time, I've not had the pleasure of riding it ... YET! Some day, when I've had enough of working for a living, I've promised my wife that she and I are going to travel around the country (mostly by rail) to see what our great country has to offer and ride as many of the private railroads as possible. She enjoys these trains almost as much as I do.
