So answer some simple questions for us, Animal-Friendly: Why do you feel entitled to, or think you have a right to, health care at someone else's expense? Why do you think that someone should pay for your health care just because they make more money than you do? No references to roads or other strawman and red herring arguments, just a straight answer, please.

I guess you might end up paying less on your medical insurance. Do you want to give this up for some lousy government-run plan? I guess no, so you might have to find to get onto it.

There is another aspect of this health care dilemma and that is cost containment within the health care industry. I work for a progressive health care giver and have seen improvements in our system. Because of Medicare there has been the introduction of reimbursement to health care providers based on Diagnostic Related Groups (DRG). This means that for a procedure the doctor or hospital only gets X amount of dollars. This has made hospitals and doctor groups become more efficient to bring their cost down.
My point here is that if we allow for a public option, this will continue to make the health care providers become more cost-effective and hopefully result in lower premiums for all health insurance, as long as the CEOs don’t pocket the profits.
