As long as the folks in charge of repairing these road ASKS if I wish to have the roads up-kept; I'm good to go. When they begin telling me what I will pay; without me having any voice in the process, it sounds a lot like stealing. Some believe stealing is a bad thing (!!!). Maybe for the goverment, it's different. I want to spend my money the way I want, Animal-friendly, why not? I earned it. If I don't want the goverment reaching into my pocket to pay for someone elses health-problems, That should be my option as a american citizen. Let those folk who want to be part of such a program, pay for it. Then let those of us who desire to seek their own choice, with their own money, do so. Sounds american to me. |

Curious thing I've noted regarding this thread....lack of actual comments regarding the very first post. Questions are being raised about the french health care system....at least some of the same questions being raised about Obama's preposed health-tax....er, health-care suggestion. The french seemed to have found, once you start pouring tax-payer money into goverment-run programs; you may find yourself in a mess. And I thought the French system was supossed to be the envy of the world? |

Wow, Animal-friendly! That's classic distraction from my points. Filling those potholes isn't socialism. Filling them then billing me without process and discussion very well might be. And that's what I object to. 'Benefits of war' Oh dear. Back to the anti-military trirade again. As stated: Animal-friendly is consistent. It's sad you've given up on America, Animal-friendly. I believe you have; since you make no mention of how America's elective-process remains a method for change. It is far from prefection and often as much a cause of goverment theft( or taxes, as some call it) as anything. But it still can change things for the better. So, no, running away when the going get tough isn't in the cards for me, regarding America's faults. America can get it right. I think I can help it do so(In my own, tiny way) Note: I hear tell the rich will (again) be the targets for the money to pay for the rest of america's health problems. I'm glad that my wallet has been taken off the docket(For now only, I suspect) but can anyone explain why the rich must pay for the rest of america's health-care? |
