Part of the reason for the 67% soil loss and soil nutrient loss of the past century is because of the flush and forget mentality along with the 'bury them in preservatives in a beautiful metal or hardwood casket', or the pollution and waste of 'cremation'. The natural composting of wastes and dead bodies has been stopped as the population skyrocketed into overshoot. People disconnected themselves from the natural system, and came to think of themselves as not animals but something so superior that we were above having to "replenish the Earth", as commanded.
