That is a good question, I really do not know myself. I suppose that is why the post in only one thread as opposed to my usual M.O..

I see a few familiar posters in the lineup, but not as many posts as I would have expected.

I'll always prefer that "original" forum format.

For sure, not alot going on lately or in recent months for that matter. It'll rebound if Josh keeps it around. It always does.

What am I talking about? You're as much a e-link dinosaur as I am. You've seen it.

Are you calling me old? I will hit you with my walker if I can get that far .....

You moved from Jackson didn't you? No where that is flooding I hope. Have some friends living on Mud Island in Mephis who were in line for evacuation if it got much worse there.

Actually I was in Vicksburg, which is indeed seeing some of the highest water since 1927. Contrary to national news reporting, the bulk of both Vicksburg and Memphis are doing just fine. Mud Island sure did get a good scare.

OK, this is THE hottest crossbow I have ever seen.

http://www.tac15.com/pdf/2010_PSE_Tac_Series.pdf

I watched a gunshop zero the standard 3-12X scope on one of these this past week. NINE bolts in the bullseye of a 25 meter pistol target at 80 yards from a lead sled from three different people. They logged between 421 and 423 FPS over those shots and the first one was a through and through on a regular bow target block. At that range they still had to use a crossbow block and even that was close. They were not using field or target tips either. It is so quiet you do not hear anything much more than the bolt impacting the target. It uses a whisker biscuit support and fits neatly on the lower half of any standard AR type rifle. It is a super narrow profile which is maybe a foot to eighteen inches in diameter when cocked. There is a hand crank system to cock the bow and it comes with a bipod. The only drawback is the $1300.00 MSRP on top of the AR lower half. You cna get one with a complete stock for about $200.00 more, which is more than a military surplus lower will run you in most cases.

That is the kicker, $1300 for the add on for an AR lower and $1500 for a complete unit. They measured ~420 fps though and that is ~100 fps faster than any bow I have seen to date.

Good to see ya stopping by, Wayne!

We could use some spicing up, hereabouts. I'll have to look around for some articles or reports to try to jump start things...
