OK so I am gonna go outside of the box here and talk about breakfast. YES BREAKFAST!! You gotta love weekend breakfasts. Today ours consisted of my husbands expert fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, delicately crisp bacon and cran juice. He so out does me at old fashioned traditional breakfast. He's been making it his weekend thing to cook me the brunchie time meal. I love it!!
( He doesn't realize it but the secret is in my moms old cast iron skillets)

Afterwords I made tea. I am exploring the world of tea now as I am getting ready to add teas to my gift inventory. We may even have a few tea parties at a friends business on the track 29 boardwalk here. I have been experimenting with different types of tea and different additives like fresh honey, lemon, orange slices, orange peel, to name a few, and I'll tell you when prepared properly tea can be very satisfying. I am avoiding the whole microwave the cup and the teabag thing, and using an electric tea pot to heat water and steeping in a pretty ceramic teapot. I think the act of doing it is part of the whole scheme of it. A very relaxing, nurturing feeling enters me when I make my tea and take the first fruity sip.

Dinner? Taco's. The ones I was going to make last night but forgot I was going out for dinner.
Life is good today. I woke up. That's always a good start to the day.

We have some friends who visited from Texas and discovered one of our favorite stroes has the largest selection of teas they had seen. They tried some of the flowering teas and now we get shopping lists from them. Some of our daughter-in-law's family will be getting a selcetion of flowering teas this year for Christmas.

The smoothie sounds good. I drink a smoothy quite often by Beachbody (full of superfoods) and I add banana and peanut butter quite often, it makes it super creamy and way more palatable.

Last night for dinner I sauteed chicken thighs until nice and brown, and served on pasta with marinara, along with green beans sauteed with sliced garlic. We also had a semi colorful salad on the side. (Lettuce, red onion, tomato and celery).
It was very good.

Kind of an odd evening .... bacon, egg and cheese biscuits for us. My wife likes breakfast food all day sometimes and I really will eat nearly anything.
