I thought this was interesting...something we all know, or guess, to be true, it's nice to have some recognition of it.

The good news is that since governments are horribly inefficient at using money wisely, there is potential for someone else to do what is right. I have always been of the opinion that all the social good that governments are entrusted to do can be accomplished by the application of good rules and the integration of private businesses like insurance. This means that if governments were not looking to skim money off the top of taxes because they no longer collected taxes, then society can finally do away with most of the civil servants and secret service organization staff (which are primarily tasked with tax-collection-related activities). These people are hiding their income for one reason only... to avoid tax so just do things differently like governments used to do when they did not collect taxes (not very long ago they collected far less then 1% of GDP instead of more then half).
