Hey, has anyone heard of this before? Check out this blog post: http://www.eurocell.co.uk/9/news/post/1176/extreme-glass-recycling-the-temple-of-a-million-beer-bottles It's about a temple in Thailand built entirely from beer bottles, it's incredible! And I love that it's kind of somewhere between art and recycling. Maybe we should all build beer-bottle houses instead of recycling them to become yet more beer bottles that eventually end up in landfill... :)

They should use that concept to expand colleges and universities. The building materials are readily available there, or were when I went.

This page has a picture of bottle/mortar use;

They also use pinched beer and soda cans, rammed earth/re-used old tires, and indigenous soil for either adobe or soil-cement and stucco/plaster.
