Technically, it is taught as what it is--science. I don't have a problem with teaching religion/faith/whatever, even if it conflicts with another field of study. The key is not presenting english literature as, say, physics. Get it?

A "Creationist"? What is that?
We don't often hear the call anymore ....most of us.
What does it mean?
We no longer understand it.
Can it be combined with other insights and understandings? Could you think about this?

I hope so ..... because to say that one is a "creationist" usually implies a kind of conditioned refusal to look beyond one's fixed idea of said story as fact. For example, you have the idea or belief that you were created, and that some kind of God created you.

We make up all kinds of stories just because we happen to be story-makers. We are excellent at being in these places.

None of them are necessarily true while they are also quite compelling. Stories can be quite compelling. I'm sure yours is.

Creation during and in the epoch after the Big Bang, when the Creator made matter and His Laws of physics and eventually, biology.

Biology, that is the part that is killing the US and long term damaging the biosphere, in a very basic sense.

Back to what is wrong........
perhaps...just perhaps this will be the impetus this country needs to make much needed reforms. a good start would be our Congress. It's past time to do away with all the perks that have been established by the body by, for, and of themselves. Term limits, retirement, health care to name a few. This country of our fore fathers has been altered so drastically and at such expense to the populace by career politicans who have but one thought in mind >financial power.

These now 40 states seeking secession should convene a constitutional reform committee and make the necessary changes to get us back to our roots. If not adopted by our current convening body, then that overwhelming majority should join and become THE United States of America. Now it is all 50 states!!!!)

Let's go with that. Why not? It's as good a story as any. It is an attempt to describe the indescribable. Nobody really knows ..... not any of the scientists: the biologists, the chemists, the physicists, the dentists (tee-hee) .... not any of the economists, and not any of the relgious leaders nor the religions. Nobody knows. It is a mystery no matter what the story .... and it's a mystery without a story too.

Biology, that is the part that is killing the US and long term damaging the biosphere, in a very basic sense.

So the biology the creator has made is now our end? Maybe the creator intended it? Wouldn't it make a good story?

I think that Our loving Father wanted us to live sustainably and in harmony with the biosphere and each other, and understanding Him and His Creation plus giving Him Love in return. People, instead, overbred for the conditions. I think that He wanted us to control our lust and selfishness, and to put back into the biosphere the equivalent of what we took out or use it at His rates of replenishment, regeneration and absorption. The "story" is in the reality of human history and the population curve.
Seeing humans seem to be at or passed all ability to stop the horrors of their population crash or the thermageddon later, a nice story would be Him coming and "saving" us from ecocide. Waving his hands and the pollution gone, a suddenly knowledgeable and sustainable number of humans, the aquifers and soils replenished, and the oceans back to the way they were. A good story with a happy ending. :angel: :mrgreen:

What is wrong with this country besides overpopulation and a worthless Senate and Admin that need to be replaced??
Well reduce all gov't pay 50% and restart the draft, enforce Title8USC1324iv and Title8USC1325 with collection of all fines owed and deportations of all illegals, rescinding anchor baby citizenships back to 1982 and put them on some small island. Increase the death penalty to all three time burglars on up, and outlaw V8s(and similar large engines) and only allow hybrid and electric personal vehicles. All new housing and building must be Earthship/straw bale/eco. All fixtures/appliances in houses to be low water use and energy star rated. Replace all coal fired power plants with Gen IV nuclear within 7 years.
Reduce jet traffic 90% ASAP. Force the payment of the National Debt with the fines above and geometric tax increases with getting rid of generational welfare, and force a balanced budget with surpluses to pay off the debt and repair infrastructure. No more unbalanced trade. Stress back to basics Constitutional government and local goods, along with no tax write-offs for kids and parents pay entirely for children's education. Low eco footprint living stressed as necessary for the survival of country and biosphere.
Similar to what I wrote to Gore in 1995.
More;
During the 2008 campaign Obama’s passport records just happened to have been illegally searched by an employee of a firm headed by John O. Brennan, and Lt. Quarles Harris, Jr., who was cooperating with federal investigators in connection with the incident, just happened to be found with a bullet in his head, and the murder just happened never to be solved, and Obama later just happened to make Brennan his terrorism and intelligence advisor.

Then we have Congress and the usurper pushing so called comprehensive immigration reform. Let's revisit what happened (and this is minimized to 12 million when it is at least double that), ladies and gentlemen, may I present 1986;

Relax Johnny cuz' it's never going to happen in the way you have outlined here, so you may as well just take a few deep breaths. It is all happening around you. It's as transient and changeable as you are. It is not static and does not even know time.

Obama? What? ....... Does it matter? (rhetorical question, but you'll probably attempt to answer it anyway).

Aah well then, if the creator did indeed make biology as well as the laws of physics, .... I guess it is "he " who is killing the US? I see that you included "matter" in your list ( tee-hee, .... I mean LOL)

TYGYFI!

Then senate, "president", the unions, and chamber of commerce care nothing about 23 million Americans out of work and out of unemployment (15%+ of Americans are now on food stamps!), or overpopulation and its emissions. The battle has been on a long time, since 1986 with Mexico's invasion and 1805 with Moslems. You are just an ugly creep AF. Go live in Canada or mexico, or the middle east, or east asia.

From a friend;
In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: "A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."
"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:
From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to complacency; From complacency to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage." The Obituary follows:
"Born 1776, Died 2012 It doesn't hurt to read this several times. Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the last Presidential election:
Number of States won by: Obama: 19 Romney: 29 Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 Romney: 2,427,000 Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million Romney: 143 million Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 Romney: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Romney won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.
Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years."

And don't forget "Fast and Furious and hundreds killed by Holder and Obama, including at least one American so far;
