I'm just wondering how many hunters there is in here. I hunt ducks, geese, rabbits, grouse, and crows.

I hunt just about everything I have the opportunity to. Deer, ducks, geese, dove, quail, rabbit, squirrel, hogs, turkey. I'm going to New Mexico for elk this September, and to south Texas next year for javelina.

Trapper on an Island not far from you, Canadian. Look East and you might see me checking a line not far from Louisbourg.

I grew up on wild Minnesota fish, ducks, and geese, deer more from Wyoming, moose more from Canada, and pheasants mostly from Iowa. I also hunted wild turkey successfully in SoDak, and Javelina and antelope in AZ unsuccessfully ( I had the shot perfect for a big Javelina, but it was followed by a little identical one with faster legs--can't kill a momma). Not much in CO because of draws, and the fact I no longer have the lower 4 discs in my back. :(

I grew up in the mountains where school was put on hold for the first week of deer season. Hunting and fishing were big past times and I have done both. I was never really big on fishing though. I have not actively hunted in some years since moving to the suburbs and having the urban sprawl catch up and surround me. I do have a few acres set aside for hunting now if I wish to do so ... at least once my son's tree farm is established and he needs help in keeping the intrusions down.

Used to hunt deer a few times a year. Haven't hunted for the past couple of years due to time contraints.

In our multi-pet home, I hunt gargantuan dust rhinos and kill them dead on the spot.

you reap what you sow...
if you plant violence to God's beings, what will you reap?

God's wheels of justice turn sometimes slowly... but inevitably
come around

What about the animals that die for you each day? Are you going to reap what you sow.. or is it just people who consume meat?

the Bhagavad Gita says that none of us live without
inadvertently causing suffering to others. Yet it is
our command to reduce as much as possible the suffering
we cause.

Not just by eliminating the eating of animals and fishes
but by building with stone, stucco, brick and block,
by respecting existing trees and plants through building
with houseboats, treehouses on metal stilts etc.
... by nonmowing
etc. etc.
