I volunteer for a non-profit group that cares for cats that do not fit in the animal shelter model of catching and caging them with the low hope of finding a home for them. Many are not suitable for indoor living. This organization treats them for parasites and neuters/spays them and provide food and shelter for some in acceptable wild areas. For excess cats at shelters, they have also provided temporary homes for them until non-kill options have come available. |
