Is Sugar More Addictive Than Cocaine?
Stefanie Spear | January 7, 2015 2:29 pm | Comments

"The new dietary guidelines are out and one of the recommendations by the 2015 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee is to limit added sugars to only 10 percent of ones daily calorie intake.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Americans consume on average 156 pounds of sugar a year. Only about 29 pounds of it comes from traditional sugar, according to the Sugar Association. The rest comes from food."

Beef: Still what’s for dinner, still controversial
"Her claim that pastured cattle can sequester enough carbon to offset their methane emissions rests largely (though not entirely) on the work of ecologist Allan Savory, who advocates short duration, intensive grazing by dense herds of ungulates, with the animals being moved frequently. Savory believes such grazing stimulates plant growth, while the action of cattle hooves mixes their manure into the soil, along with plant seeds, aerating the earth and allowing for water penetration."

What we need is a much lower and smarter population, instead of couples getting 36K/yr welfare for being obese.

Perhaps we can start with smarter people who do not believe couples on welfare in the US actually get 36K per year .... #-o

I thought it was common knowledge, having been in the news;
" instead of couples getting 36K/yr welfare for being obese" --> as an example, one couple, not all couples.
Certain states have higher payments, and it included all benefits except the Medicare.

There have been more articles on the increasing world obesity rate, and the DVD "Fed Up" is a good source.

Others on returning to exclusively organic farming with a good percentage of humus from massive composting campaigns,
and claim it would sequester all the excess CO2.

Very magical, a good fantasy. As if time would just stand still while this all happens.

Nope, not common knowledge at all. The plural indicated more that one couple too.
