So you think being vegan, specifically, was the overwhelming factor in her winning?

I think it was the non-vegan buffet at the finish line that did it .... \:D/

I used to be acquainted with a Zen community that was for a period of time vegan. Talking to one of its members he told me that the vegan women had an unusual number of miscarriages so they went to a dietician and he told them they needed to incorporate some dairy into their diet if they wanted to stay off meat. Apparently that solved the problem.

Using a baby's death to further your cause, that's a bit low even by your standards.

In any case, this report contradicts that one, as does the account of the baby's doctor who examined her shortly before her death, saying that he "..found her in perfect health".
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/ap ... -convicted

If the parents had taken her to the hospital for a simple course of antibiotics, instead of trying to treat her with 'clay compresses', she'd still be alive today.

ALL pregnant women are advised to take supplements i.e. folic acid and vitamin D. (And in the UK and I believe France as well they are advised NOT to take vitamin A supplements.)

What "cause" might that be, knight? Perhaps you are confused.

Found her in perfect heath, eh? Is that why she died?

Oh, sorry, did you say something about perfect health?

Alright fine, the kid died because the parents decided to reject science. If you think that is a successful deflection from your championing of a cause that also rejects science, you are wrong.

I cannot see how three months would be shortly before her death and especially when another doctor diagnosed pneumonia a month later.

Possibly, but with such a situation there are other possibilities for later death.

Many prenatal vitamins have lower doses of vitamin A because high doses of vitamin A can cause birth defects. Thus, higher dose supplements would not be advised for a pregnant woman. After childbirth and during breast-feeding, however, the dynamics change significantly.

1) Your habitual vegan-bashing.

2) The doctor's report/own words... The baby later developed bronchitis. Maybe they were in sub-standard housing? I don't know, but I do know if they'd taken her to the hospital she'd still be alive. You cannot treat bronchitis with clay compresses. That was ridiculous.

3) Hold on, you were the one who took the thread off-topic. The thread is about a female athlete who won the woman's Arctic marathon, by a huge margin, despite being 43 and only having one knee-cap.
Oh and being vegan, something which you and those like you would have said was an impossibility beforehand.
