It's almost Biblical, "The love of money is the root of all evil." No doubt bartering for goods and services puts us in the most normal state of mind. Once money itself becomes a store of value that psychologically throws a whole lot of our thinking off kilter. For one thing we become hoarders rather than sharers. Work becomes less valued in itself and more what we get for it. |
